HOUSTON — Partnering with One Tree Planted, SCS pledges to plant 100 trees for every CO2 measurement and compression skid, methane capture skid (VRU), and petroleum LACT unit it produces to help offset the greenhouse gasses used to produce and operate its products.
“Greenhouse gas compression, measurement, and transport are central to our mission as we help energy companies achieve their net zero emissions goals and also transition our own operations to be more environmentally sustainable,” said Cody Johnson, CEO of SCS Technologies. “We anticipate that our efforts through the 1t.org U.S. pledge will result in the sequestration of 36,000 metric tonnes of carbon by 2030, with an additional 8,000 metric tonnes each year thereafter.”
